Looking to speed up your webpage but facing slow load times due to large image sizes? You've come to the right place! Follow these simple steps to optimize image size in SharePoint Framework (SPFx):
Retrieve the image URL. For example, let's say your image is located at "sites/SiteName/SiteAssets/Lists/image.png".
Initialize a variable to get the site location origin. For example, let siteOriUrl = window.location.origin.
Initialize another variable to add to the end of the URL. For example, let endURL = ":/driveItem/thumbnails/0/small/content?preferNoRedirect=true".
Combine these two variables to create an optimized image URL: let optimizedImgUrl = siteOriUrl + encodeURI(imgUrl) + endURL.
Use the optimizedImgUrl wherever you want to use the image.
By following these steps, you can optimize your image size in SPFx and reduce the load time of your webpage.
